East Face Snowfield, 2 July 2006

This was supposed to be a backpacking trip. Unfortunately because of our laziness, the sudden onset of monsoon season in Colorado, and August getting over a nasty summer flu, we arrived late and bailed out early. It ended up being just about 24 hours car-to-car, despite setting up and breaking camp at Snowmass Lake and shivering in the damp tent during a long and loud afternoon thunderstorm. Nonetheless, the climbing was great and the scenery wonderful, and so despite the problems we had a great time. I paid for it the next day when I came down with the same flu that August had.
