Kevin Givens
Contemporary Research:
I am currently working on an implementation of the CMS Fast Simulation program for the SLHC at CERN.
My immediate work focuses on V0 reconstruction (cf. Brian Drell's
work) and B-tagging algorithms using an enhanced and adaptable version
of the Tracker Geometry.
My advisors are Prof. John Cumalat and Prof. Kevin Stenson.
Prior Research:
As an undergraduate, I worked on data analysis from the FOCUS (e831) experiment at FermiLab. My efforts were in reconstructing D** decays using genetic programming.
Bio:
I
grew up in Johnson City, Tennessee before attending Vanderbilt
University in Nashville, Tennessee from 2002-2006. I'm currently
in my second year here in Boulder.
